Had a fantastic stay in a quaint town, everything was great. I appreciated the beautiful and nice room and the staff were lovely. This hotel was set in a remote area not far from the center of Kurokawa Onsen as well as the opposite bus stop. It also was to the main Kurokawa area.

During our stay at Okyakuya, we were impressed by the exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The traditional feel of the ryokan added a cozy and authentic touch to our winter getaway. The onsens were some of the cleanest and nicest in the area, with a short walk along the river to an outdoor onsen. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful snowy village scenery made it truly magical. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Despite the language barrier, they made every effort to communicate with us. The location was convenient, and the staff took care of our car and helped us arrange transfers to our next destination. we highly recommend Okyakuya for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The food was good and the room was comfortable. We also enjoyed the location of the hotel, which was close to public transport and easy to find. the staff were friendly and willing to help with any questions we had.
There were no vending machines or shops nearby, which meant that we had to constantly travel to get necessities. the hotel did not offer any on-site activities, which made it difficult to keep entertained during our stay.

Traditional ryokan with well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and complimentary transportation to the bus-stop. Elaborate kaiseki-style meals cater to dietary preferences and allergies. Multiple onsen baths available, including private options for added privacy. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful river views from the room.

My stay at this ryokan was simply amazing. The employees here take great pride in their work and it shows in the exceptional service they provide. The location is super convenient, with Main Street, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the spring spa, both indoors and outdoors, were fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
I didn't dislike anything about this property. 😊

Friendly English-speaking staff. Comfortable futons and relaxing natural hot springs. Enjoyed the Japanese breakfast and beautiful views of the river and waterfall from the rooms. Convenient pick-up and drop-off at the bus station. Nearby shops offer quality souvenirs and local products.

The meals were quite exquisite and plentiful. Loved the riverside view from the room and the onsen was quite therapeutic.
The service on arrival was mediocre. The rooms are quite small and the lack of soundproofing means a lack of privacy for couples or families.

The location of the hotel is exceptional, as it is situated right in the centre of the well-preserved Kurokawa Onsen. The staff went above and beyond by picking us up at the bus stop and providing transportation to the hotel in a private minivan. The rooms were spacious and had their own private bathrooms, which added to our comfort. The service was top-notch, with attentive and English-speaking staff who explained everything in detail with a charming smile. The breakfast offered was delicious and satisfying, leaving us with a good impression of Kurokawa Onsen.
The futons provided in the rooms were quite fluffy and didn't offer much support, which may not be suitable for everyone's preference.

We stayed at a cozy hotel in a quaint village. The location was perfect, being only a short walk from the bus station and right next to the river. Our room was simple, but comfortable and had everything we needed. The service was friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious with generous portions.
The onsen temperature was a bit cooler than we preferred.

We were delighted to be greeted by a friendly English-speaking lady upon arrival, a rarity in Japan. The futons provided a surprisingly comfortable sleep, even better than some hotel beds. The traditional Japanese breakfast was a pleasant surprise, enjoyable even for non-Japanese food enthusiasts. We appreciated being able to relax at the Onsen and the private minivan service to the bus station was a thoughtful gesture.
